Audience research is very important because it’s a way of finding out about the audience; it helps us discover what their preferences are and estimate the size of the audience. I was able to analysis what type of thrillers the majority of the audience that I was going to target to.
The main audience expectations are for the thriller to be scary and have a sense of mystery also that the story is not completely straight forward and we would have to think about it. They would want the story line to be new and something that hasn't already been told and something that we weren't expecting to happen. Furthermore they expect it to have lots of bloody scenes and for it make us jump.
